Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a skilled Mobile Crane Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating mobile cranes safely and efficiently to facilitate the movement of materials and equipment on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and materials handling, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to high standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials (STEEL) and equipment across various construction sites.

    • Conduct pre-operational checks on crane machinery to ensure safety and functionality.

    • Coordinate with site managers and other team members to plan lifting operations effectively.

    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe work procedures.

    • Assist with materials handling tasks using auxiliary equipment such as forklifts, excavators, or warehouse machinery when necessary.

    • Maintain detailed records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

    • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of goods during shipping & receiving activities.

    • Support other construction or warehouse tasks as required to ensure smooth workflow.

    Skills

    • Proven experience operating mobile cranes in a construction or industrial environment.

    • Mechanical knowledge of crane systems, hydraulics, and safety features.

    • Valid commercial driving licence with relevant certifications for crane operation.

    • Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and excavators.

    • Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and procedures.

    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in dynamic environments.

    • Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and safety checks.

    • Prior experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving is advantageous. This role offers an engaging opportunity for experienced operators committed to safety and efficiency in demanding environments.
